I own an eBay business. My search for inventory lands me some unusual parts / machines / items that are normally out of reach for most. If you are looking for something in particular, let me know.

I also have a habit of giving things away. I'd prefer to give it to people that can use it. For example, I have a little 2 axis CNC table that could be converted to a sweet PCB mill or something. Can anyone here use it?

Arduino Keyboard Project

Friends, amigos and fellow makers,
I am looking to dive into the world of Arduino and am wondering if anybody out here would help me with a project that you may consider to be fairly simple.

What I want to do is find a way to interface a 9 button keypad with a computer via an arduino uno. I have found some people online that have done similar projects, I think that I will just need to build the keyboard and program it. I am thinking the best way to do this is to modify the following:

I would like the 9 button keyboard to act just like an old Nokia phone's input.

The reason I am doing this is because many in Africa can't type, but they can type on Nokia phones amazingly well. They would be able to overcome the single greatest barrier to them using computers, which is the keyboard. Anyway, I would want it to be an open source kind of project.

Any ideas? Suggestions? willingness to help me out a little bit?

Christmas Lights

Hi everyone. I brought my christmas light controller to the public night a couple months ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that my lights are up and running (they have been for a while, I'm just late posting). Feel free to stop by and see them at 88 W 750 N Orem, UT. The music is on 106.9FM and the show runs from 5:30pm to 10pm. I'll try to post a video later and at some point I'll put up a build log

my name is andrew and I am a UVU student currently. I have recently become interested in electronics projects and would like to learn more! I found this site in my Make magazine thread that talked about hackerspaces and I thought they were a cool idea so I thought "hmm, I wonder if we have one of those in provo?" well a quick google search pointed me to you guys and I am so impressed at what you have! I would love to stop by and meet some fellow makers for a bit. I wanted to come to your make meeting but I have work (hopefully I can get it off and come to the next one)
right now I am just working on some basic projects and looking to meet others who could help out a bit with some others. I think for my next project I would like to do some EL wire on a bike. Does anyone have experience with EL wire? If so I would love the help! also I am interested in learning some more about micro controllers (arduino right?) but I am too intimidated by the whole thing at my level of knowledge, which is why I am so glad to find some people who might know a thing or two!
anyways I am excited to possibly become more involved and meet some makers!
